The lid to the air intake system to the engine was not screwed back on tight and I drove it for 2 days before I looked under the hood. By then, it had taken half a tank of gas. The engine was getting too much air. Oh lease make sure if you check things in the engine to please tighten everything back up before stating the car is good to drive. |

I was traveling and despite knowing that, they kept my car for almost 2 full days and never tried to update me - the only way I knew anything was to call periodically and ask. Instead of reading the check engine code like I asked, they then did a full diagnostic for $100 without my consent. |
Shop Comment Thank you for this review. Now looking back at the ticket on the notes it said that you were traveling and that you were trying to leave by Saturday. You brought in the vehicle Thursday 9/16/2021 around 11am. When you called and dropped off vehicle you were let known that we will TRY and work in your car as we are short staffed and busy. Im currently booked out 4+ weeks in advanced.. We were able to get your car in on Friday and diagnose the issue. Our understanding that when you brought in the vehicle was to see if you were safe to drive the rest of your trip. We cannot do that by just scanning of the code. You also had a CARMAX Warranty. For me to be able to call in a warranty claim we have to diagnose the problem first and diagnostics will be covered if approved coverage by warranty. Being that in the time frame you had to leave we could not completed the repair and we deemed safe to continue your trip. Since warranty company will not cover diagnostics if not repaired at our shop or if the repair is not covered by your warranty policy the diagnostic fee would be at the responsibility of the owner. Im sorry for the confusion and misunderstanding. |

They failed to apply our AAA discount to final bill (the only reason we took it there was because AAA recommended and we were suppose to get a discount). When we told them the discount was never allied the liner said our wad our responsibility to tell them at check out. Even though we had already had the vehicle serviced there just days before and had to take it back because they failed to fix whatever wad wrong with it in the first place. That first we used our AAA membership so they knew we were members. I paid over $2000 and they had the vehicle for over 2 months collectively. At the end of it the A/C still didn't work. The owner was very rude and said "if you have a problem your can take your car back." So I did, I'll gladly pay a more competent mechanic who will actually fix my car the first time as this is the 3rd time I've had to take the car back to Aguirre Auto and it's still having problems. |
